Personal Information:

You  give the personal information so that the other person can contact you, You can keep it as simple as possible, Give your Name,Mobile number and address. People tend to do lot of mistakes here.

Address:

—>Give the address that can be reachable by the employer. Don’t give remote place address even if it is your permanent address, In such cases give your temporary address and if you are frequently changing places better don’t mention any address.

Email:

—>Keep email id with your actual name not with some funky names. If email is not available with your full name then try adding numbers at the end of it.

—> Your email id should be active and checked frequently, You can include maximum of 2 email id’s.

—>Don’t mention your official email address given by  your previous employer.

Do not include self praise statements.

—>Never ever include statements like

Talented, multi functional visionary seeks”

Looking for middle or senior position with an organization where I can contribute…

No employer really cares about what you want and what you say they only interested in what they want. So, Instead of this make a four sentences of your expertise and put it in the objective.

Do not include reason for your job change:

—>No person will include the reason for the job change, If you do then stop doing this because the interpretation of this kind of things will vary from person to person and this may give negative impact on you. So, Don’t put the reason for job change just tell they if they ask in person.

Never mention your Salary details:

—>Never mention your salary details or CTC of your previous company, Every company will have their own salary structure and if you don’t fit to them they will reject you. Putting CTC in resume is like telling them that i prefer such kind of salary structure. They may also reject if you are above their budget, Give yourself a chance to negotiate.

Do not include family details:

—> This is the biggest blunder people do, We should never include family details in our resume. This shows that you have no control over. Company don’t want your personal family details and religion. So just focus on showcasing your expertise.

Do not include conclusion:

—>I have seen many people giving this conclusion statements like ” I declare that the details provided was true to best of my knowledge”. There is no need for these kind of things.

Stay clear and concise on what you want to show on your resume. There is so much competition out there, you cannot afford to make mistakes in what you communicate to others through your Resume.
